New episode(s) of LENS ME YOUR EARS

Stephen Cooke and I continue to plug away at our podcast project, LENS ME YOUR EARS, with a brand new episode up now. We’re talking about movies where the City of London is a featured player, inspired by two pictures now in cinemas: Last Christmas and The Good Liar, but we go back in time to discuss films like at Night And The City, Villain, Mona Lisa, and Layer Cake.… a lot of crime dramas, in other words. But there are a few others in there, too, films like the Ealing comedy, Passport To Pimlico!

To download and/or subscribe to this podcast, you can go to Apple Podcasts here or Spotify here or Stitcher here.

Other recent episodes have included a look back at the filmography of the Austrian strongman-turned-actor-turned-governor-turned-back-to-actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, the career of the Taiwanese auteur Ang Lee on the occasion of the release of his feature, Gemini Man, and a special episode where Stephen and I recommend titles to each other from our own libraries, called Off The Shelf.

Speaking of podcasts, the Flaw In The Iris podcast has been a mite irregularly of late, but with 2020 approaching, expect that I’ll reach out to locals and beyond to collect their thoughts and feelings on the best movies of the past decade.

Stay tuned for that, and thanks for listening!
