No thought needed for this one. “Live and Die” by The Avett Brothers has been coming out of my living room speakers, consistently, since it dropped back in Sept. With a big catchy chorus to sing along to, The Avett Brothers (along with the help of Rick Rubin) seem to have finally found a radio friendly recipe. A light plucking banjo, intertwined with a power pop feel, is what drives this single from The Carpenter. What can I say…..I’m a sucker for a big, poppy hook!
