30 Day Facebook Challenge (Jeff Edition) – Day 25 – Best Vocals

Over the course of the past 40 years, there have been so many fantastic vocalists that it’s a shame I need to pick just one, so going against my own rule of only having one artist/song per day, I had to go with two (plus the bossman himself went with 8 on day 23, so I feel 2 isn’t too bad).

The first vocal performance is a perfect example, which displays the level of talent, which the late Freddy Mercury was blessed with. With octaves ranging from low to high, Mercurys ability to remain smooth throughout an entire performance is just magnificent. Queen are one of those bands that I can’t get enough of. My only issue is that I never had the chance to see them perform live, due to Mercurys untimely death in 1991.

The second performance is from Bono, of U2. He might not be able to hit the notes now, like he could 15 years ago, but in all honesty, who can. Growing up with a father who would sing Opera, it’s only fitting that Bono has a voice which would rival anyone. I had the pleasure of seeing U2 live in 2011 and have to admit that vocally (and musically) they were everything I expected and more. A true musical pleasure.
