I usually associate good songs, with good memories of listening to a song. With this one in particular, not only do I have a good memory of the song, but for me it’s quite nostalgic in the lyrics as well. There are many songs in my library that are ear pleasing, but there are only a few that give me an experience while listening to them. This song also does that pretty well. And to me, I think those are the keys points when picking out a favorite song. So, my choice for favorite song which comes at no surprise, would have to be “Used To Be Alright” by I Mother Earth.

No surprise you ask? Well, the song actually comes from my favorite album, which was released by my favorite band. It doesn’t take much thought when you are defaulting to something. If I really really wanted to pick a favorite song, it probably wouldn’t be from my favorite album, or favorite band. But I know for a fact, I’d be fighting through 10 songs, in which my opinion would change on the dime. And I’d probably come up with 10 totally different songs altogether. So I believe this song is defaulted for a reason.

So what makes this song so awesome? Let me put it in point form for you…

1. The song has so much build up, and energy. Introduce it in a concert setting, and your gonna get the right crowd go freaking nuts.
2. About the nostalgic thing, the song talks about good days. The whole idea behind the song, “Used To Be Alright” is about feeling young, living in the moment, and having a good time with friends. And that’s what life is all about.
3. **** it, we don’t need a number #3, this song just speaks for itself. So go listen to it!
