Toro Y Moi, Anything In Return, Carpark Records

Toro_y_Moi_-_Anything_in_ReturnThis album should have been entitled, “Funkee Beats From A Car Showroom”, cause all I could picture on the first listen was shiny, expensive cars being presented by rich business men & hot sexy ladies. And that would have been fitting. But Toro Y Moi is more than that, and his latest album proves it.

His move from chillwave to house suits him well, with songs like “Harm In Change” & “Say That” that will get your body moving. And when you’re cruisin’ in the sunset in your Honda, listen to “Rose Quartz”, it’ll make you feel like a million bucks.
