No thought needed on this one….”Semi Charmed Life“. Anyone who claims that they weren’t into this song, at some point in their lives, are lying. I can still remember the summer it hit the air waves. It was the perfect summer anthem, and could possibly be one of the catchiest tunes ever thrown down. Everyone knows the doo doo doo parts, but take a second and read the lyrics while listening to it. A couple of verses that I would always mumble through “I’m packed and I’m holding, I’m smiling, she’s living, she’s golden, she lives for me, says she lives for me, ovation, her own motivation.” Or how about “those little red panties, they pass the test, slide up around the belly, face down on the mattress”. The best part about this is the fact that I actually use to break this song out acoustically. I didn’t know the words, but no one else did and all they wanted to do was get to the doo doo doo’s. Now that I do know the words, nothing has changed. I guess it’s the perfect song for the saying….don’t bore us, get to the chorus.
