At the top of February, a legion of talented musicians descended upon the Marquee Ballroom to perform a slew of beloved tunes that all found a place on the storied Big Shiny Tunes compilation series.  This marked the third iteration of the series here in Halifax, and it was as great the previous 2 events, the only difference being that the Marquee was crammed to the rafters for this show, as its reputation has steadily grown over the years.

The talented house band that features some notable folks from across the Halifax music scene includes Mike Farrington Jr (also a co-organizer), Clare MacDonald, Tori Cameron, Siobhan Martin, Zach MacLean, Dave Casey, Seamus Erskine, Jordan Murphy, and Count Rockula Jason Vautour. The vibe in the room for these shows is so great, as the musicians are on stage having a blast, and those in the audience are ready to sing their hearts out. Can’t wait for Volume 4.
