Ok, it took us until Day 6 for a stumper (thus far, I had pretty well defined answers all lined up), A Song by Someone You’d Like To Marry is certainly a perplexing one. In sifting through my iTunes playlist, I have roughly 10 female artists/bands (Carly Rae, Gaga, Teegan & Sarah, Nikki Minaj — No Judging!) and of them, none really strike me as the marrying type (well, maybe Carly Rae, but she’s been Biebered).
Once upon a time this would have been a slam dunk, as I was all about the chanteuse, but not lately. If I have to choose a song, then so be it (and I’ll probably not be proud of the answer – but here goes). “I Kissed a Girl” by Katy Perry, which is long before she was making scores of catchy pop tunes, or marrying one Russell Brand, she was doing something a little left of center. She seemed like she had something going on other than her physically assets (which is an idea that is somewhat improbable now – see “California Girls”).
