I just wanted to toss up a post to apologize to our readers that we haven’t found a groove yet in 2014, I know personally I’m battling a case of writer’s block and just wanted to ask that you bear with me as I chip away at the block that’s currently encasing my noggin’.  I’m working through it and trying to recharge my batteries, and while it happens around this time every year, I just wanted to give you all a heads up and ask you to stick it out through this drought, we’re working on it and hope to get things back on track sooner than later.

While I’m trying to work on a couple of article ideas, I did have some words trickle through to me and they seem to have found their own form and I thought I’d share em with you….

Here I sit,
Staring at this page.
Which is as white,
As the blizzard which howls.
Encasing the words inside of my heads,
In a block solid and frozen.

All I have is a pen,
And no chisel.
Ever watch a pot,
Just to see it boil over?
The longer you wait for the thaw,
The colder it gets.

Just gotta get used to the chill,
It will eventually pass.
All the while,
You may have to force the issue.
Just to form some cracks,
Before they form within.

It might just be a trickle,
Words can be this fickle.
The evaporation has to form the clouds,
To allow the downpour.
For now,
The cursor winks alone.
