Summer is coming! What better way to get ready than with a series of posts on one of the best summer adventures, THE BEACH! Read on to hear about Ingonish Beach in Cape Breton, or click on the links below to find more amazing Nova Scotia Beaches.
Ingonish Beach is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike, and for good reason! Ingonish has everything you need for a beach day – lots of space to set up a beach chair, smooth, golden sand, and lots of on-site amenities. In addition to swimming in the ocean you can take a dip in a naturally formed freshwater pool!
There are picnic tables on-site, and during peak season (July and August) you’ll find washrooms, change houses, a playground, tennis courts and a canteen.
This beach is supervised during July and August and there is lots of parking. The one downfall – No dogs allowed, at least not in the supervised areas of the beach. If you like to hike, bring your sneakers and check out the surrounding trails.
