Over the past year I have found myself switching to more and more second hand shopping. Prices are lower, items are more unique, and you skip out on supporting the earth scary production methods that go into most new items.
So, when I heard about a new boutique, Crimson and Clover, promising high end second hand clothing at affordable prices, and having their facebook group tempt me with have-to-have new items every day, my curiosity won out.
Tucked just past Spring Garden Road, Crimson and Clover is the perfect place for eco and budget conscious shoppers who still want to look great. This new consignment boutique hand selects some of the best brands on the market with items like Marc Jacobs purses, a full table of designer jeans, and Michael Kors dress pants and jackets.
Racks are easy to flip through, not at all like the overcrowded racks typically seen at second hand shops. The owners have an eye for presentation, with each garment perfectly pressed to give a brand new feel. They also have an eye for style, and are great at helping clients pick out the perfect size, create an outfit or provide an honest second opinion. The best part; with prices falling mostly in the $20 to $50 range, buying a new outfit (or three) at Crimson and Clover comes free of shoppers guilt.
