An Important Update About The 2020 Local Wishlist

Hello Local Wishlist supporters and friends,

We’re very sad to announce that the Local Wishlist will not be published this year. We’ve been working very hard behind the scenes for months to secure funding, but were ultimately unsuccessful. Due to Covid, many provincial government programs that might have supported our initiative have been put on hold, and without government support, we simply can’t afford to deliver a Wishlist. Many thanks to Michelle and others at the Government of Nova Scotia for their efforts.

It’s incredibly disappointing, because we’re all so proud of what the Wishlist has accomplished. Helping to promote and encourage so many wonderful local makers and businesses every year is what makes the holiday season joyful for us. We feel like we’re letting everyone down when they need our support the most.

We hope to publish the 9th edition of the Local Wishlist in 2021, and will do whatever we can to make this happen. If you’d like to help, please send us an email and let us know how the Local Wishlist helps your business or makes your holiday season, and why you want to see it back next year.

Thank you for your support all of these years. We wish all of Nova Scotia’s crafters, artisans, and businesses a happy and successful holiday season. We’ll continue to support you as best we can. We hope to hear from you soon, and to see you again in 2021.
