L’Acadie Vineyards

L'Acadie Vineyards Canada Organic Winery Wine Nova Scotia

L’Acadie Vineyards

In 2004, two of Canada’s most experienced sparkling wine makers moved to Nova Scotia. Their mission; to start Nova Scotia’s first certified organic winery. When they arrived, Bruce Ewert and Pauline Scott lived in a trailer on the beach for a month while they searched for the perfect plot.

L’Acadie doesn’t use pesticides, fungicides or chemical fertilizers on any of their vines. Their hard work paid off. In 2013, they became Nova Scotia’s first certified organic winery. The L’Acadie vineyard and gift shop are simple and clean. Both the shop and the winery are run on geothermal energy. Don’t want to leave? Spend the night in one of their cottages! All accommodations have a vineyard view.

Tours Available?

We Recommend: We celebrated our engagement with a bottle of L’Acadie sparkling, a pretty clear indication of how we feel about their wine. If you get a chance, definitely take a tour. Hearing about the passion and care that go into their grapes will make you enjoy your bubbly that much more.
