Big Axe Brewery – Nackawic, NB

Big Axe Brewery is a microbrewery and bed and breakfast in Nackawic, NB. Pete & Tatiana Cole wanted to create a small craft brewery that brews with local ingredients. They plan to use a 40 gallon system to brew their beer in small batches. Once open, they will sell their beer to-go in 1.89 L growlers.

The name comes from the worlds biggest axe, which is located right down the street. It’s a beautiful spot for a brewery. They are located right on the St. John River waterfront. We drove through in October and were fortunate to catch the sunset. The B&B opened in the summer of 2013. The brewery is in the final stages of getting their licence to brew. Once open, they’ll offer samples on-site.
