Granite Brewery – Halifax

Granite Brewery

Granite is Nova Scotia’s longest running brewery. What started as a brewpub in 1985 has grown steadily over the years, eventually finding a permanent home in Halifax’s North End. Granite focuses on traditional, well-balanced English ales, although they occasionally experiment with seasonal ales. Their beer is available on tap throughout the city.

Year Opened: 1985

Location: 6054 Stairs Street, Halifax, NS

Samples Available On-Site? No

We Recommend: You can get Granite around the city, but in our opinion, the best place to grab a sampler is at The Henry House,  their long-time brewpub location, or the Lion’s Head. Lion’s Head carries the biggest selection of Granite and they are right by the brewery, so you can try a few before picking up a growler.
