Guest blogger: Mike Finley Donnini’s Pizza on North Street, Halifax is one of my personal favourites for pizza in Halifax. Their pizza is always very high quality food for very fair prices, and service is always quick. 
A downfall for this pizzeria is the fact that they are not open late at night or on the weekends. 
Donnini’s Pizza is run by a large Middle Eastern family, which makes for a warm, welcoming feeling upon entry in the restaurant. All in all, I always enjoy the food that I eat from there. Editor’s Note I stopped by Donnini’s today to take some pictures for this post. It’s a combined neighbourhood grocery store/Laundromat/pizza shop on North Street between Agricola and Gottingen. Just as Mike said, I was warmly greeted by the owner and his family (he insisted I take pictures of him and all his family members!). 
As you know from our Pictou County Pizza post, I have quite high standards when it comes to a slice of pizza. But, I have to say, when comparing apples to apples Donnini’s is up there for Halifax pizza. For $5 I got a tasty slice of Meatlover’s (1/4 of a full pizza), a chocolate bar and a can of pop. 
Note to Backpackers: Donnini’s is located only a couple blocks from Halifax Backpackers on Gottingen Street and includes laundry facilities. It’s open until midnight. The #1, #2, #4, #7, #14 & the #52 bus routes will get you here.
