A new Christmas morning tradition! Sweet panettone fried french toast style.

, (Motta brand if you can find it!)

OPTIONAL TOPPINGS: fruit: bananas and raspberries
, strawberries, blueberries, whatever you like. Maple syrup. Powdered Sugar. Bacon.

Slice the panettone thinly, try to make the slices as even as you can. I was able to cut about 16 pieces from one whole panettone.

In a wide bowl, whisk the eggs and cinnamon together until completely mixed. (As if you were to scramble them.)

Dip each slice of panettone into the egg mixture one at a time, making sure to coat both sides. Place them directly onto a hot frying pan.

Fry until brown (about 2 minutes), and then flip to cook the other side until brown.

Eat 'em while they're hot! Smother with all sorts of delicious fruit and don't forget the maple syrup!
