This Pumpkin Spice Crockpot Applesauce is so easy. Made with crisp, local apples and a homemade pumpkin spice mix, it will fill your kitchen with the smells of Autumn!

medium apples
, peeled, cored and roughly chopped into bite-sized pieces

water

tsp
vanilla

Tbsp
cinnamon

tsp
each cloves
, nutmeg, ginger, & all-spice

OPTIONAL: sugar to taste
(~1 tsp) if the apples are a little sour

Dump your chopped apples into a crockpot.

Pour the water and vanilla over the apples.

In a bowl, mix the cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, ginger and all-spice, and evenly spoon over the apples.

Cover and set crockpot to low. Cook for 4 hours.

When finished, apples should be very soft and mushy. If you like chunkier applesauce, mash with a potato masher. If you like your applesauce smoother, use an immersion blender until smooth.
