Week 19

Banner - Lunch of the Week

Hello! And welcome to Lunch of the Week! We’re officially on the one month countdown until we leave New York and head back to Nova Scotia for the winter. I have very mixed feelings about this.

On the one hand, I will be glad to live in the woods in the quiet, smelling pine trees (and not garbage or pee). On the other hand, I will miss this place because there is SO much to do and see (and eat!).

I am, however, very glad to see the back of summer. I’m so done with it! Done done and done. Sorry, summer lovers! I just want to not sweat anymore… after three years I’m done with the heat. I will regret saying that when we’re up to our eyeballs in snow for the five millionth time this winter, but I stand by it for now.

If you missed last week’s post, I made a list of all the things I do to Make Lunch Easier – because lunch is hard and it should be fun and delicious. Go check it out!

This week’s lunch is very orange (unintentionally…), but super delicious!

Lunch of the Week 19 - I Say Nomato Nightshade Free Food Blog

Snack: Sliced carrots

Lunch: Leftover Soy Maple Chicken (recipe coming on Monnndayyyy!) with jasmine rice and mixed vegetables.

Dessert: An orange!

That’s it for this week! See you on Monday when I’ll be avoiding all the Labour Day sales stampedes and writing a blog post instead 🙂
