Back at the end of May, I hit up the Seahorse Tavern to catch the up-and-coming act In Your Walls, who were touching down in Halifax for the very first time. While this show was slept on by many in the city, those who attended had the opportunity to catch an exciting band that brought a vibrant energy to a performance that would easily translate to a much bigger stage.
The band was fronted by the multi-talented Bridget Puhacz, whose vocals seemed to evoke the 90’s nostalgia of Holly McNarland, while bringing in that spirit and verve of Haley Williams (of Paramore). It was a great first visit from the Toronto-based outfit, and hopefully we’ll be hearing more from them in the coming months and years.
