Before the Jolly Red Elf himself made his rounds, Halifax was treated to an early Christmas present with the return of Rankin MacInnis’ Winter Warmer series. The Christmas Warmer kicked off the ninth Warmer season, and it continues to be one of the hottest tickets in town, as 2037 Gottingen was packed to the rafters with patrons ready to revel in those classic Broken Reeds jams, alongside a smattering of Christmas gems. If that wasn’t enough, the lineup was rounded out by the incomparable Christina Martin, Dave Sampson, and the man from Mabou himself, Jimmy Rankin. It was an unreal way to kick off the latest Warmer season.
