Ahead of Hozier taking to the Sommo Festival mainstage on Day 2, the Nova 7 stage had to be closed out first. The artist tapped for those honours was none other than Toronto-based emcee/artist King Cruff.
Cruff brought a high-energy performance to the stage, bounding from pillar to post, with a big grin pasted on his face the entire set. King Cruff’s Jamaican roots were front and center in his modern reggae-infused sound, which was brimming with dancehall influences. While his moniker belies his familial ties, King Cuff was born Solomon Marley-Spence, and yes, his grandfather is the legendary Bob Marley. It was a great way to close out the Nova 7 tent.
