Kicking off the mainstage on Day 2 of Sommo was the talented duo of Brooks and Bowskill. Fans of Blue Rodeo or The Sheepdogs may recognize Jimmy Bowskill, who has been part of both storied acts, and now brings a more subdued and subtle project to the forefront with his wife, Brittany Brooks. The folky, country-tinged set allowed Brittany to showcase her vocals, that sparkled on this sunny Sunday afternoon. While Jimmy let his wife take the spotlight, he was there ready to provide backing guitar work and vocal accompaniment. It was great to see these additional facets of this talented musician shine through.
