Show Shots // Dave Sampson @ 2037 Gottingen // 30.05.25

At the tail end of May, a kitchen party was thrown in the Marquee Ballroom, down at 2037 Gottingen.  The lineup consisted of Dave Sampson, who was making a long-overdue return, having played a headlining set in this storied room.   Sampson is no stranger to this room, having played a significant role in the annual Big Shiny Tunes shows and popping up during the Winter Warmer series.   On this night, Dave enlisted an all-star band of friends to join him on the mainstage, including the keytar wizard himself Leith Fleming-Smith, Zach MacLean, Andrew Sneddon, Tori Cameron and the talented Matt Gallant on the drums. You couldn’t ask for a better backing band.

Along for this ride, the Ashby lads, Pretty Archie opened up the night with a set loaded with favourites, and the band broke out a handful of great soon-to-be fan favourite tunes.   They got the night rolling, and from that point on, we never looked back; it was all gas and no brakes.
