Big Shiny Tunes is a compilation series that became a soundtrack for many of our lives; it served as a gateway to many new acts alongside a slew of beloved household names. It’s that sense of nostalgia that courses through our veins, that we need to revisit those songs, and thanks to the Vox Media crew, alongside organizers Stephanie Purcell, Dave Sampson, and Mike Farrington Jr., the denizens of Halifax have had the privilege to convene at 2037 Gottingen with the intent to revel in the music.

If you were fortunate enough to attend Night 1, you knew you were in for a treat on the 2nd night. The band had settled into a groove and was ready to tear into Night 2 now that the nerves had disappeared.  Much like the first, it was a fantastic night of tunes that knocked it out of the park.  You know that if Vol.5 takes place in 2026, we will be there with a camera in hand.
