To close out the Sommo Sandbar Stage, the festival handpicked Maggie Andrew. The 2024 ECMA African Canadian Artist of the Year award winner brought her alt-pop tunes to Cavendish and had the packed tent bopping the whole way. It was an inspired performance that showcased why 2024 was a massive year for Andrew, from being a Juno Wavemaker, to ECMA Award Winner, to side-stage headliner at Sommo.
Looking forward to seeing what 2025 holds for the talented performer.
