Day 2 of the Sommo Festival kicked the Sandbar Stage performances off with a Nova Scotia favourite, and HAFILAX bud Andre Pettipas and the Giants.   These fellas put on a high-energy show, with many infectious pop-infused rock tunes that quickly get lodged in your ears.  It was especially neat to walk into a local Cows shop, and hear the band on the speakers there, a quintessential PEI moment.  Being able to catch the band on a stage other than one in their home province was a definite treat, some of this writer’s travelling companions were quickly converted into fans, going so far as to hit up the merch tent to grab a tee and have Andre sign it.  Always a blast fellas, until the next one!
