Night 2 of the 2024 TD Halifax Jazz Fest was another memorable one, as the LA-based soul-infused indie-pop outfit Fitz and the Tantrums hit the stage in Halifax for the very first time.  On this night the crowd skewed noticeably younger, including a youngster who danced her heart out in the crowd throughout the set while her mom and dad were beaming ear to ear the entire way. In talking to another photographer who had the opportunity  to chat with the proud parents,  she explained that the family travelled here specifically to see Fitz and the Tantrums as the band is their daughter’s favourite. Definite core memories were created in Halifax on this night, for not only the little girl, but the crowd who were bopping and grooving along to the band’s hits “Out of My League”, “Moneygrabber” and “Handclap”.
