I discovered this East Coast gem just recently. Let’s just say it caught my curiosity from a previous HAFILAX post. It’s called “Jeff’s Musical Car”, and if you haven’t heard of it, it’s about this man named Jeff Boudreau who hosts a segment, which features live performances and interviews of local artists, in the seats of his car.
It’s a little reminiscent of the kind of freedom of speech of Toronto’s “Speakers’ Corner”, with the comedy of “Cash Cab” thrown into the mix, and an intimate performance to boot. The best part about the show is that it features the artists you know and love that have been homebrewed right here on the East Coast.
With East Coast Music Week kicking off in Newfoundland tonight, we’d like to show Jeff’s Musical Car, and the artists that will be playing at this year’s festival, some love with a playlist of videos for your enjoyment…
