Friday Night Soundtrack – August 30th, 2013

And just like that the summer is finished.  It might have taken it’s time getting here, but it wasted no time in leaving.  With a slew of summer shows under the belt, it’s time to take aim at what lies ahead.  Fall usually tends to bring some decent acts through the Maritimes and of course we have the always awesome Halifax Pop Explosion

I’ll have the opportunity to cover some of the Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival next month in Fredericton but after the schedual was looking a little thin.  With nothing blowing me away I decided to take matters into my own hands and seek out a show elsewhere.  After putting together a new musical bucket list (I’ve alread knocked off my original one) I was able grab tickets for Franz Ferdinands show this coming Oct. in Boston.  Needless to say I’m super stoked for both the show and to finally see the city of Boston.

With all of that in mind, this weeks edition of the FNS is brought to you by the Scotish gents who call themselves Franz Ferdinand.

1 – Ulysses (Tonight: Franz Ferdinand, 2009)

2 – This Fire (Franz Ferdinand, 2004)

3 – Right Action (Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Actions, 2013)

4 – Do You Want To (You Could Have It So Much Better, 2005)

5 – Take Me Out (Franz Ferdinand, 2004)
