One Track: Fitz & The Tantrums, “Out Of My League”

We’re gonna be switching things up with the “One Track” starting this week. Instead of being an early Monday morning get outta bed, and get the f*** to work track; it’s gonna be more of a unscheduled, spur the moment type track. Cause we all know, new music can’t wait till Monday, and music recommendations are good at anytime of the week. We’re gonna keep covering new music on the east coast, but we’re gonna be broaden our horizons to where ever the new music takes us. This means more music for you to check out!

So, this one track comes from a soul/indie rock called Fitz & The Tantrums. I first heard about these guys a few years back. At a first listen they got me hooked with their familiar, but distinct sound. I originally thought that these guys were from the 50’s, maybe they were backups for the band The Temptations, who would replace them if they couldn’t make it on stage. And just maybe being from the 50’s they found an “anti-age” serum, and decided to make a comeback to the studio, 60 years later…

Anyway, their new single, “Out Of My League” is just as good as any, if not better than some of their tracks that they’ve released in the past, you can check the song down below…
