30 Day Facebook Challenge (Jeff Edition) – Day 26 – Best Intro To A Song

So I have to openly apologize to my buddy Trevor (you’ve seen his name on most of the posts on this website) for giving him the gears about making lists of songs, to represent a single day in the FB challenge. I had thought it would be best if the lists were used in other posts, not linked to the FBC….needless to say I made a post a few FB days ago, which contained multiple songs and I am going to do it again RIGHT NOW!!

There were so many songs that originally popped into my head that I had to sit back and get my list down. After some discussion and debate I decided that I had to go with two tracks.

1 – Motley Crue – Kickstart My Heart

This song just pumps. If I could only pick one song to use, in the event that I had to get all amped up, this would be it. What is also cool about this song is that it’s not your typical kind of intro where all you get is 3 minutes of a tapping, distorted guitar (Thunderstruck, Crazy Train, Etc.). What you do get is Tommy Lee pounding away on the drums and Mick Mars delivery a set of crunchy power chords that can rattle the walls in any building. Wheres GSP at…..I’m in the mood for a throw down.

2 – Dire Straits – Money For Nothing

Sting starting things off with that classic line, a thunderous drum progression all leading up to that unmistakable guitar riff. Mark Knopfler is arguably one of the greatest guitar players to ever grace the planet. So awesome.
