That’s right, HAFILAX is adding a new collaborator/writer in the form of one Mr. Justin Roy. You may have seen his comments on a few of our posts, but his affiliation goes way back. So far back in fact, that he was one of the originators of HAFILAX v.1.0. We had an idea back in 2000 that Halifax needed a site dedicated to concert listings and reviews, so that a lot of the local shows that weren’t getting the press, got some sort of mention. But 12 years ago, we were fresh out of design school and put up a good site, but as we got busier in our own endeavors, HAFILAX became something of an afterthought. I held onto the domain and kept it alive (at some point I’ll put up a retrospective look at our History, but for now we’ll put a pin in that for now). Justin is a music/design/photog guy, you can find some of his pics over on Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/earthskync/), when we were in McKenzie his go to band was I Mother Earth, so give him a warm welcome and enjoy his inaugural post which will be up by the time you finish reading this and expect his top 5 of 2012 to go up shortly. Justin will fill in another range of music that Jeff and I don’t really touch on all that much, there are the places in the venn diagram where we all sync up, but there are many others where we’ll have drastically opposing views.
