30 Day Facebook Song Challenge :: Day 28 :: A Song That Makes You Feel Guilty

Ok, we’re on the homestretch now. I’m going to try and knock out days 28, 29 and 30 before the end of the week, but in order to do so I’m taking some creative license with Day 28 and swapping out Guilty with Embarrassed. So we’re now looking at The Song That Makes Me Feel Embarrassed, and in my case it’s songs and not just one in particular. It has to be anything by Moist and/or David Usher.

The embarrassment stems from my experience at University when I geeked out hard and in my recollection I’m unsure I was speaking in full sentences. One afternoon I was sitting around the Cafeteria at Dal speaking with some friends when I see Paul Wilcox (drummer) and a guy wearing a bandana as if he was going to rob a train who turned out to be David Usher. I promptly grabbed my notebook that I always carried with me, and had both guys sign the inside cover (I still have said notebook). After signing it, they asked where they could grab a coffee. My reply sounded something like words, but I think it came out more like sounds and my fanboy status was quite apparent and overwhelming, so I never had an opportunity to sit and chat with them, I only have my shame and embarrassment to remember and shutter at.

So most tracks by Moist and/or David Usher will trigger flashbacks to one of my first geek-out moments and the embarrassment which accompanied it.
