With less than three weeks to go, before I get to spend a week in New York city, I thought that it might be fun to create a list of my favourite songs involving The Big Apple. Instead of creating a list of ten songs, I’ve decided that I’ll put them out there one at a time…..quick little hits. With all of that being said….in no particular order…..

New York Minute – Don Henley

Starting things off a little slower than expected, but there was no way I could cut this song. A beautifully written song, in which Henley touches on love, death, and life. The big line in the song, “In a New York minute, everything can change” really hammers home how quickly a situation can be turned on its head, so take a step back, and appreciate what you have around you and the people in your life. After hearing a few different versions, my favourite has to be from The Eagles Hell Freezes Over tour. Great song, great lyrics, and fantastic harmonies by one of the best groups to ever come together on a stage.
