Lil Wayne has taken an approach similar to that of Akon to get his name out to the masses, he has collabed with everyone from Kanye West to Sean Kingston to Canada’s own Kardinall Offishall and two of those three appear on None Higher (We Got the Remix).In addition to working the collaboration circuit, Weezey has also been in the studio prepping his hotly anticipated solo effort Tha Carter III and in addition Lil Wayne has garnered a rep for being one of the most prolific emcee’s of this generation. Where some emcees would grate on your nerves with this kind of market saturation, Weezy is unusual as he raises the bar with his rhymes. None Higher is a great remix disc on which DJ Benzi showcases Wayne’s penchant for rap. It may not be Tha Carter III, but None Higher should prove that Lil Wayne is working hard to become the best rapper alive.
