As winners of the inaugural season of the one hit wonder machine DisBand, the Stereos found themselves thrust into the spotlight courtesy of the “Nation’s Music Station”. The Edmonton based band has been riding the success of their “hit” single “Summer Girl” right across the country, touring with teen favourite Faber Drive. The eponymous debut of the Stereos is nothing more than a radio friendly cash grab by Much Music. The sound and style of Stereos has borrowed bits and pieces from acts such as Sum 41, Headley and a little 3Oh!3 but this hybrid removes any sort of personality to create a PG pop-punk offering (heavy on the pop).
