There’s something seemingly unnatural about Norwegian hip-hop, as it sounds like it should go together about as well as peanut butter and hamburgers. However Madcon have been riding international success on the lead single “Beggin’” from the band’sNorth American debut Conquest, and for good reason. Madcon will draw many comparisons to Gnarls Barkley, as the Norwegian hip-hop outfit also likes to incorporate elements of soul, r&b and pop into their brand of bright and sunny hip-hop. With their slick rhymes and stellar production, Madcon have shown on Conquest that Norwegian hip-hop is indeed as tasty as a peanut butter burger.
