Jacksoul, Resurrected, Vik

In the wee hours, a cabbie told his fares “He Calls Himself Jacksoul”, when questioned about the Motown-esque music coming from the cabbies’ stereo. Jacksoul came and went a few years ago with a sophomore release entitled Sleepless, nothing special, just another album in the gamut of pop/r&b releases. On his latest release Resurrected, Jacksoul has given us an album that is smooth, sultry and incredibly sexy, it sizzles with its modern-Motown sound. One spin of this disc is not nearly enough, you have to turn the lights down low and let this album take you into it’s velvet embrace.
