Various Artists, Juno Awards 2004, Universal

Where else are you going to find artists such as Nickelback, Finger Eleven or Three Days Grace alongside “artists” such as Shania Twain and Celine Deon? That’s right, the 2004 Juno compilation. There‘s not a whole lot here to get excited about. This might be the Canadian equivalent of the Grammys, but most of what’s included has been beaten to death (see Shania Twain’s “Forever and For Always”), and not enough artists (other than Hawksley Workman or Buck 65) who need (and deserve) the attention were included, such as The Dears, Sweatshop Union, The Trews or Danko Jones.
