My List of Shame

I stumbled across this story today, with this link, and it gave me pause. Have I ever been coy about the movies I should have seen—as a self-declared movie nerd—but haven’t? Not particularly, but then, no one’s asked. Ah heh heh.

So, apropos of nothing save sheer transparency, I give you 25 classics or semi-classics that, for one reason or another, remain on my to-see list. (And I absolutely, positively want to see them.)

Feel free to comment on how appalling this may be.

The Wages of Fear
City Lights
The Birth of a Nation
The Searchers
Rio Bravo
8 1/2
The 400 Blows
Last Year at Marienbad
Rules of the Game
Black Narcissus
Solaris (1972)
Sullivan’s Travels
A Woman Under the Influence
Brief Encounter
Mr Smith Goes To Washington
Stranger Than Paradise
Evil Dead 2
The Sweet Hereafter
