Sainte-Famille Winery

Sainte-Famille is a family owned winery in Falmouth.  Their name is inspired by the area’s Acadian roots (The area was once called La Paroisse Sainte Famille De Pisiquid). Those Acadian influences are found in more than just the name. Many artifacts have been uncovered, including the remains of a church. A few original French pear and apple varieties still grow on the property.

Sainte-Famille Winery planted their first acre of grapes in 1980. They grow 95% of the grapes that go into their wine, and 100% of the grapes they use are grown in Nova Scotia. They only make about 5,000 cases per year due to crop limitations, but the winery plans to double production in the next four years. Tastings are available in the gift shop. They start at $3.50 per person for a flight of four.
