Don’t be fooled by the name. This was once a laundromat, but has been converted to a very hip espresso and craft beer bar. You need to look for it. The exterior still looks deceivingly like the laundromat it once housed.
The Laundromat Espresso Bar (Marky’s) is one of the few places you’ll find local nanobreweries Acadie Broue and Celtic Knot on tap. Their bottle selection includes microbreweries from Nova Scotia, PEI, New Brunswick and Quebec, plus additions from as far as BC. It’s one of the best Eastern Canada bottled beer selection we have ever seen.
Marky’s frequently mixes things up by switching up what’s in their fridge and on tap. If you’re hungry, they have small plates with delectable treats like boar pate and salty cheese. You should also try the espresso.
Year Opened:
Location: 382B St. George St, Moncton, New Brunswick
Price: Laundromat Espresso Bar won’t break the bank. Small plates come in between $7 – $10, and while the price of craft beer varies, you can get beer on-tap starting around $5. You can see the coffee and food menu in the slideshow below.
We Recommend: Planning to stay a few hours and either getting a hotel near-by or keeping the number of a cab handy. This is hands-down the best place for beer-lovers in Moncton and we think you’ll want to try a few.
