Boxing Rock Brewery – Shelburne

Boxing Rock Brewery

Boxing Rock is the newest in a wave of craft breweries opening their doors around the province. The owners, Emily and Henry, were both engineers by trade and craft beer enthusiasts by passion. After spending a few years testing their brew on a willing group of friends, the pair settled on three inaugural beers and launched their company. The brewery is open year round and offers a tasting room and a retail store, with $10 tours every Friday and Saturday (by reservation only).

Year Opened: 2013

Location: 78 Ohio Road, Shelburne NS

Samples Available On-Site? Yes

We Recommend: If you can’t make it to Shelburne, head to the Halifax Seaport Market on Saturday. Boxing Rock has a booth where they offer samples, growler fills and merchandise like bottle openers and t-shirts.

Temptation Red Ale: 6% ABV
Hunky Dory Pale Ale: 5% ABV
The Vicar’s Cross: (DIPA) 8.5% ABV
