Summer is coming! What better way to get ready than with a series of posts on one of the best summer adventures, THE BEACH! Read on for information on Queensland Beach just east of Hubbards, or click on the links below to find more amazing Nova Scotia Beaches.
Queensland Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Nova Scotia. This beach is located in Queensland just east of Hubbards. It is just 35 minutes from downtown Halifax.
This beach has 300 m of sandy beachfront, changerooms, and toilets. There is lots of parking but spaces fill up quickly so plan to go early.
Queensland beach is ideally situated in a sheltered area of St. Margaret’s bay. Because of its location, the water is warmer and there are no currents or rip tides.
Queensland beach is supervised in July and August. Dogs are permitted but they must be on a leash. There are also lots of places nearby to grab food or ice cream during the summer months.
You can get to Queensland Beach by taking exit 5 or 6 off of Highway three. Click on the video below for a virtual tour of this beach.
