Summer is coming! What better way to get ready than with a series of posts on one of the best summer adventures, THE BEACH! Read on to hear about Dingwall Beach in Cape Breton, or click on the links below to find more amazing Nova Scotia Beaches.
I was tipped off to this beach from a local who said it was one of her favourite spots on Cape Breton Island. It is a bit of a challenge to locate, but well worth the effort.
The beach is located in Dingwall, just off the Cabot Trail. You will see a dirt road called Quarry Road. Continue to drive that all the way to the end, right past the Wharf. There is a small area to park your car once you reach the beach.
This beach has stunning views. On one side there is still salt water with the highlands in the background. The other side is sandy beach with ocean access. The beach goes for about a mile and makes for a nice little walk. Because of its location it is a little windy, but would be fine on a warm day.
A great little ‘secret’ beach to check out this summer.
