In my opinion, there are few things better than a night out on the town with friends and a good laugh. If the success of Halifax Comedy Fest is any indication, I am not alone. Going into its 18th year, the 2013 Ha!ifax ComedyFest will bring 28 top Canadian and international comedians to venues across Halifax.
Last year, I only got to check out one event. I laughed so hard I couldn’t breathe and had to excuse myself for some air. That is my idea of a great time.
This year I am looking forward to seeing Caroline Rhea. She will be hosting the All Star Gala along with Scott Thompson on Thursday, April 25 at Casino Nova Scotia’s Schooner Room. I’d also love to check out Bob Marley. He was the festival favourite last year and will be opening the festival on Wednesday, April 24th at the Casino Nova Scotia Schooner Room at 7:30 pm.
The festival gets underway on Wednesday, April 24th and runs until Saturday, April 27th. Tickets range from $20 – $45. If you join the Halifax Comedy Fest Facebook Group you have a chance to win tickets to the full festival.
