Every neighbourhood needs a good coffee shop. A place where you can go to relax with a book while enjoying a cup of coffee or meet with friends for lunch. For the folks in the west end of Halifax, Chebucto Coffee fits the bill.
Chebucto Coffee is a cozy café where Chebucto Road, North Street and Oxford Street meet. The brown, burnt orange and tan colour palette and plentiful greenery gives it a comfortable, earthy feel. Art for sale from local artists decorate the walls and large windows allow lots of natural light in.
Here they serve Java Blend coffee (@JavaBlendCoffee), and they also do a great cup of hot chocolate. If you’re hungry, they have a range of offerings from breakfast sandwiches to veggie samosas to paninis to soups of the day such as apricot lentil or beef stew.
They’re on several major bus routes such as the 1, 2, and 52 so even if you don’t live in the neighbourhood, it’s still easy to get to.
We like to come here for meetings, or to escape from the home office for a few hours. @GillianWesleyNS has been particularly enjoying a visit on a cold day, when the large windows and live plants can almost make you forget it is winter.
