Between learning to make a fish hook, becoming awestruck by Alexander Graham Bell’s accomplishments and a couple Chowder Trail bowls, Gillian and I took a moment to sit down and relax at the Bean There Coffee Café in Baddeck. It is a charming little café along the main strip in Baddeck, with a patio for sunny days and a cozy set of tables inside for not so sunny days.
Bean There serves Mills Mountain coffee and a selection of fresh baked treats. I made myself comfortable with a large cup of coffee and a cinnamon bun and Gillian had a delicious chai tea latte.
It became pretty clear that this was a popular spot with some loyal customers as the fellow behind the counter seemed to know everyone who stopped in. A cozy spot to take a break, read a book or do some blogging.
