Land of Evangeline Campsite – Wolfville

Land Of Evangeline Campground

The Land of Evangeline Campsite is at the northern end of the Grand Pré Road, past the Grand Pre National Historic Site.  It’s a pretty typical campground with both serviced and non-serviced sites, bathroom and shower facilities, an on-site store and a mini-putt.

The lots are pretty open, but in exchange…

…you get a really amazing view!

The sites are open with nothing really dividing them.  It’s pretty clear that these grounds are more for campers than tents.  We like camping that’s a little more secluded, so Land of Evangeline Campground didn’t appeals to us in that regard.

Gillian also had a total blunder when it came time to shower. We were told during check in that “four quarters gets you about ten minutes”.  Being eco-minded, we typically opt for a 3-5 minute shower. With that in mind, Gillian made the trek to the shower area with 2 quarters. Turns out, the shower will not start without at least four quarters.

The campground had a lot of redeeming qualities, including the view of the sunset over the Bay of Fundy and the campgrounds’ proximity to the Grand Pré Historic Site, Domaine de Grand Pré winery and the Just Us Coffeehouse and Museum. If you are travelling with kids (or are big kids at heart, like us) there is an on-site pool, mini-putt course,  and arcade.
